SCARY INFLUENZA SEASON COMING TO A TOWN NEAR YOU!

Antiviral manufacturers are acting quickly to produce dosages needed for the coming Flu season. Health authorities are doing their best to inform us in as delicate a manner without scarying the “you know what” out of us. Parents, in particular, need to get ready for the coming Swine Flu Season.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO) a severe form of swine flu (also known as H1N1)has been harsh on our young. The World Health Organization has been reporting that the virus is going straight to the lungs, and at the same time, trying to give comfort by saying most people who catch this flu have had mild cases.
Health organizations had begun seeing many swine flu cases in the southern hemisphere. The World Health Organization has found that the swine flu has mutated into more dangerous forms south of the Equator. This area of the world is near the end of their winter flu season and it appears that the antiviral drugs have responded favorably.
With that said, it appears as though the swine flu is affecting more young people than old. Children are 14 times more suseptible and more likely to be sickened than people 60 and older. Obviously, it’s important for children to get vaccinated, the sooner the better. Those that may have a chronic medical condition should seek medical advise from their primary care physician.
With that said, be aware that vaccines are not a cure-all and you need to discuss, with your doctor, what these vaccines have in them and what effects they could have with your current medications. Also be aware that vaccines need time to build up antibodies. Please, seek advise from your doctor and/or your health organization.
It is up to you and your doctor whether to get a shot, but there are other precautions you can start using right away without a doctor’s note. Remember to practice good hygiene. Wash your hands with soap and water and cover your mouth when you sneeze.
